Post Doctoral/Researcher Position on Sustainable Mobility

Post doctoral/researcher position on sustainable mobility (IVT-35/10)

The “Hertwich and Strømman group” with the industrial ecology program and the department of energy and process engineering at NTNU, in Trondheim Norway, invites applications for a 2 year post doctoral researcher position in the field of sustainable mobility.
The main research activities will be on electric mobility through the E-Car project. This will involve life cycle assessment and input-output based work for assessment of various electricity based road transportation activities, systems and scenarios. Since our group is leading the work on LCA and IOA in several projects related to sustainable mobility, the work will interface with and some of the time may also be spend on these other projects.  The E-Car project addresses grid related issues as well user preferences in addition to LCA activities. The industry consortium involves electricity generation companies, grid companies and a subsidiary of TATA motors. One of the responsibilities involves collaboration with TATA on environmental assessment of electric vehicles. Further, collaboration with other leading international institutions on sustainable mobility is established and a continuation of this is expected. Finally, the planned work will interface with ongoing activities on LCA, Hybrid LCA, and IOA at Master, PhD and Post Doctoral level at the Industrial Ecology Program. Salaries:
Post-Doc level code 1109, wage levels 57 to 76 on the Norwegian State salary scale, with gross salary from NOK 438 500 to NOK 630 200 per annum. Post doctors are normally remunerated at wage level 57. There will be a 2 % deduction to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund from gross salary.
